Bids for FAI Sailplane Grand Prix Final Series 13.
The closing date for bids to host the final of the13th series is the 31st January 2025. The final will be held in 2027 or possibly in January 2028 if it will take place in the southern hemisphere. SGP are now accepting bids to stage this prestigous World Gliding Championship contest.
The FAI/SGP final is a unique sporting event with live racing followed by thousands of sailplane racing fans. Previous FAI/SGP finals over the last 12 years have developed new and exciting ways to showcase sailplane racing at its most exciting.

During the 2024 European summer, six qualifying FAI/SGP events took place, all the events were successful despite the difficult weather conditions that blighted this summer. Congratulations to the 12 qualifying pilots who will shortly receive their invitations from FAI/IGC to compete in the 12th final at St Auban in August 2025.
Still to come in 2025
Still to take place are 4 qualifying events in the 12th series. The next event will be at Gawler in Australia in January 2025, followed by the USA FAI/SGP in March 2025 to be held at Lake Seminole in Florida. These and the two European events in Holland and Poland are very popular and we are looking forward to some great, exciting racing.
